1.The rubber duck race, known as the Dundas Duck Derby, is conducted by the Dundas Valley Foundation, doing business as the Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise. This draw will be conducted in accordance with the requirements specified in the Electronic Raffles section on the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario website and is approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

2. The Dundas Duck Derby will be held on Saturday September 26, 2026 at 11:00am EST.

3. Tickets are $20 per rubber duck, or $50 for three (3) rubber ducks. Tickets will be sold exclusively online in the Province of Ontario. A total of one thousand (1,000) tickets are available for purchase. Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older. All ticket sales are final and no refunds will be issued for any reason.

4. Ticket numbers will correspond to unique numbers on the rubber ducks.

5. The rubber ducks will be launched into Spencer Creek from the Ogilvie Street Bridge in Dundas, Ontario, near the intersection of Ogilvie Street and Governors Road. The race will conclude at the Thorpe Street Bridge, in Dundas, Ontario, near the intersection of Thorpe Street and Dundas Street.

6. The holder of the ticket corresponding to the numbered duck that crosses the finish line first will win $2,500 Canadian Dollars. The holder of the ticket corresponding to the numbered duck that crosses the finish line second will win $1,000 Canadian Dollars. The holder of the ticket corresponding to the numbered duck that crosses the finish line third will win $500 Canadian Dollars.

7. Winners will be announced following the rubber duck race and, if not present, contacted using the telephone number, email address, and/or mailing address provided when purchasing their ticket(s). The winners will be determined to the best of the ability of members of the Dundas Valley Foundation (Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise) and their decision, in their sole and absolute discretion, will be final.

8. In the event the rubber duck race cannot occur as scheduled for any reason including, but not limited to, inclement weather, inadequate water or water flow in Spencer Creek, or for any other reason, the Dundas Valley Foundation (Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise) will make a final decision, in their sole and absolute discretion, on whether the event will occur no later than 9:00am EST on Saturday September 26, 2026. If the rubber duck race does not take place as scheduled, the Dundas Valley Foundation (Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise) will utilize a random number generator provided by Raffle Nexus Canada Inc. to determine the first, second, and third place prize winners no later than 7:00pm EST on Tuesday September 29, 2026. In such an event, winners will be contacted using the telephone number, email address, and/or mailing address provided when purchasing their ticket(s). Further, should a modification be required to the race route for any reason including, but not limited to, inadequate water or water flow, debris or fallen trees in Spencer Creek, construction, or for any other reason, the Dundas Valley Foundation (Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise) will make a final decision, in their sole and absolute discretion, on any modifications to the race route prior to the start of the race at 11:00am EST on Saturday September 26, 2026. Contestants understand that the rubber duck race will run in a natural creek setting, Spencer Creek in Dundas, Ontario, which presents the potential opportunity for rubber ducks to become stuck amongst obstacles such as rocks, trees, bushes, shrubbery, bridge pillars, the shoreline, and any other obstacles that may be present along the race route. Consequently, it is possible that not all ducks will reach the end of the race. There will be no refunds issued for this or any other reason.

9. The winners consent to the release of their names by the Dundas Valley Foundation (Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise) and further agree that their name, image, and likeness may be used by the Dundas Valley Foundation (Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise) for announcements of winners of this rubber duck race and/or for promotional marketing of future rubber duck races or similar events held by the Dundas Valley Foundation (Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise). All contestants, participants, and attendees agree that their image, and likeness may be used by the Dundas Valley Foundation (Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise) for announcements of winners of this rubber duck race and/or for promotional marketing of future rubber duck races or similar events held by the Dundas Valley Foundation (Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise).

10. As required by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, the Dundas Valley Foundation (Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise) will make every reasonable effort to contact the winner, including attempting to locate the winner using the telephone number, email address, and/or mailing address provided when purchasing their ticket(s), or by advertising in local newspapers within 120 days following the draw, setting out a complete list of the names and city of residence of all the winners of any unclaimed prizes. The unclaimed prize will be held in trust by Dundas Valley Foundation (Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise) for a period not less than six (6) months from the date the prize was awarded. If at the end of six (6) months the prize(s) has still not been claimed, the prize or monies equivalent to the fair market value of the prize(s) must be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensing authority.
